Now that I have a lot more on hand than a few years ago... from Die Deutsche Wochenschau... not quite Kmdt v Breslau but Kmdr Korps Gr Schlesien (it's a late war reel)

Cheers

Would say GenMj Gero v Gersdorff, Kmdr Div 411 Hannover.

Degrelle took over SS Freiw Brig Wallonie and retreated from Cherkassy in 02.44. Trees in the picture suggested summer in the West. RK ( 20.02.44) but no EL yet (so before 27.08.44). Before Degrelle took up 28 SS Freiw PzGr Wallonie in 09.44, a KmpfGr Wallonie led by Degrelle did fight in Estonia in 08.44 ( mentioned in detail in Biblio Inf RKT series under Degrelle entry)

28 SS Freiw Pz Gr was raised in Hannover and led by Degrelle in 09.44

Cheers

Hi,

Page 21 - lindemann.jpg - Not good picture, but I think it's GdA Theodor Endres.

Page 32 - Unb. Stab.JPG - Most likely it's GdA Walther Lucht, commander of 336 I.D., which was based in coastal France in the spring of 1942.

Page 42 - genfind115lt1.jpg and genfind115bzy2.jpg - what do you say about Friedrich Zickwolff?

Best wishes
Ruslan

Hi Ruslan,

Agreed on Endre.

Definitely Lucht, with the few Spanish decorations and Italian neck order. .... Also fixed Otto Gullmann on same page

Not 100% sure on Zickwolff. The run of the mill portraits of course showed him as a slighter man and smaller nose. Only one late pic of him showed such a large nose. The pics in question was no doubt taken in France so 227 ID. I was looking for his Ia Karl Heinrich Graf v Klinckowstroem but sadly nowhere to be found. My pic shows v Klinckowstroem as CdS of v Feurstein's LI Geb Korps in Italy, a distinctive chubby man on the right of the pic.

Cheers

Hello, Elwyn!

My version based on his characteristic smile with tight lips and interesting dark - silver hair style.

Yes, what you posted was what I was referring to as offering the "proof".

But......these are him too.

Hello, Gregg!

In my view it's 101% match with Zickwolff full - face portrait.

Thanks, pal!

By the way, do you have some good pic of Generalmajor Joachim-Friedrich LANG and Generalleutnant Heribert von LARISCH? I would like to know if they both received the Iron Cross during the Great War.

All the best.
