I think you are right, Elwyn. Tanks troubled me.
Second man was Hanns v Rohr
Yeah, we on the right track and 715 I.D. was also my final opinion. But my first impression was that this Hans-Georg Hildebrandt without glasses? What do you think? I see some differences between Rohr's ears, nose and wrinkles.

Best wishes
Ruslan

On PP295, Generalmajor captured was Hans Georg Schuberth. His last command was FK 792 Digne (mentioned on the next page in the same book Rückmarsch!!). A bit obscure and not even listed in Lexikon d Wehrmacht. His command terminated on 19.08.44 as he was captured in Draguignan directly to the south of Digne on this day.

Lieber Elwyn,

not quite correct:
10.12.1942 Feldkommandant 564
13.12.1942 Kommandeur Hauptverbindungsstab 564 (Toulouse)
10.05.1944 Kommandeur Verbindungsstab 792 (Digne)

BTW: Please see my caption on PP 295

Hi Dieter,

I didn't mean "terminated" as in his superior fired him. I meant his command came to an end as a result of his capture. And I assume Digne was overrun so there would be no successor. But I did get the FK part wrong

Deleted for double-posting -- EW

With Olbricht you also have Feyeraband as Ia and Rittau as Rgt Kmdr 102 IR. Keilig has a glaring typo for Rittau, recording him as Kmdr of 12 IR instead of 102 IR.

The bottom pics were taken at the funeral of Eugen Hahn in Ulm. For first funeral pic: there are never any good pictures of Fritz Brand who was Artillerieführer V and then Kmdr 15 ID. It's not Christian Hansen of 25 ID.

The second funeral pic is easier: Schaller Kalide of 35 ID.

Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler converses outside with Rudolf Schmundt at Wolfsschanze (Wolf's Lair), Hitler's field headquarters in Rastenburg, East Prussia. Pictured in the foreground from left to right are: Rudolf Schmundt, Heinrich Himmler and Karl Wolff. Also pictured is Martin Bormann (in the background without a hat, between Schmundt and Himmler)
Is it Walther Buhle between Schmundt and Bormann?

Buhle would be a few sizes bigger, I would think.

Here's LXXXVIII. Korps with Reinhard in Holland 1944. There were Rommel and most likely Eberding in the konvolut. Who's standing next to Reinhard? Running out of candidates. I think Isee carmine stripes on trousers of the officer with a piece of paper under his arm. Could be Reinhard's chef Obst iG Curt Eichert Wiersdorff.

Cheers
