The attached picture from ebay shows the generals Hans SCHLEMMER and Ernst PHILIPP in June 1944 with a third general (on the right) identified as Mayor General STEPKE. As far as I know, there was not a general with that name.
His face sounds familiar to me but I have not been able to fix it.
Any clues?

Indeed, Staedke. Took me a little while as well.

Not sure about Steinmetz. He was thinner and had a longer face. He stayed pretty much the same during the entire war.

Thanks very much gentlemen for your help.
Vienna, I dont think "unlnown722" is RAPPARD. To help to identifying him I am attaching these two pictures from this sticky that show the same general.

This picture has been already posted here although I think it has not been identified yet.
The more I look at it the more confused I am.
It might help the fellow researchers this clue: I think the officer on the left resembles a lot the later Gen.d.Inf. Martin GRASE. If it wrere so, the picture might have been taken when GRASE was Oberst and IR1 commander and the location might be Ostpreussen.
By the way, it would be much appreciated if a GOOD picture of Gen.d.Art. Peter WEYER were posted. The ones I have seen are not clear enough. Thanx.

Here is a poor paper-copy of the original pic of Peter Weyer in "Sammlung Krug" in BArch/MilArch in Freiburg/Br.

Hi Miocid,

What you posted was GenLt Albrecht Brand. It was annotated in an album I saw and the features fit perfectly. Peter Weyer was a strapping tall person, more like Busch's height if not Pfeiffer's. He was in a parade with List in one of the pics posted, I believe, right here sometime ago.

Thank you both, Dieter and Elwyn for your help.
The general in question is no dobt Albrecht BRANDT. He fits in perfectly.
The WEYER picture even though is not perfect is clear enough and much better than the ones I´ve seen so far.

Hi Elwyn,

I'm sorry but you are wrong. At this time he was almost completely bold on the top of his head ;)
