A Slovakian order was what came to mind. But Kriegssiegerkreuz has a red or blue double cross and the Order of the Slovakian Cross is white but again two horizontal "bars".

This man looks like a thicker set person that the tall and thin faced v Biegeleben, I think. How about GenMj Paul Otto, InfFhr IV Magdeburg when Raschick got bumped up as ArtFhr IV became 4 ID?

I think next to Busch was Gen d Inf Karl Freiherr v Plettenburg in his old age. PLM träger. Hence the elaborate aiguillettes and what would probably be the Gedenkzeichen für Generaladjutanten von König Wilhelm II underneath his Bruststern as he was Kaiser Wilhelm's Generaladjutant.

Truth be told that only the Gedenkzeichen for Flügeladjutanten has been documented. I really have not seen any examples ID-ed as for Generaladjutanten for Wilhelm II, but only for Friedrich III and Wilhelm I v Preußen and for Wilhelm II v Württemberg. Glenn would be the man to give you a definitive answer.

Hello, guys!

Page 78 (idhelp.jpg) and Page 206 (Nagy_contender.jpg) - Could this be the same inspection and the same GM Gutknecht that on page 240? I think it is good variant and you? :)

Best wishes
Ruslan

Congratulations, Justin Bieber! (He is really annoying as he sang at NBC near my office one morning and the traffic was completely on hold from the night before because pre-teen girls slept on the street the night before to line up to see him)

Firstly, PP78 and PP206 were indeed from the same kovolut although reproduced in many different combos over the years. Secondly, PP240 is even less of a fit than the plain Biblio portrait where the folds of his jowl made this a compelling ID. Thirdly, further playing around with looking for Division kenzeichen finally turned up with the Antler's horn in the same direction as the one on the truck's mud guard -- it is 39 ID, in Holland from August 42 to April 43. Gutknecht had gotten promoted from Armee Kraftfahroffizier AOK 15 to kraftfahroffizier beim Generalstabes des OB West. Bingo. Well done.

Agree. 6 yrs has passed and we now have many sightings of Brunner.

As to the 2nd and 3rd below re Löhr and others, I believe in top pic L-R were Waber, Löhr, Chef Korten and Surén. Bottom pic was Löhr and Korten. 4th and last pic, I still believe it was Surén.

Hello, Elwyn!

I agree with Surén. Based on the photo on page 231, he uses small ribbon bar with 2 medals and awards of your man are the same in my view. :)

Congratualtions Ruslan for your identification of GUTKNECHT.

Elwyn, I don´t think the general with RUNDSTEDT that you have posted is GUTKNECHT but rather FriedrichWilhelm NEUMANN,

Cheers,
