Hi everybody,
I´m looking for any information about the Luftwaffe ace and Oakleaves holder Wolfgang Schenck to write a short bio about him. Dates of his awards, victories, units, assignements, any data at all as well pictures are welcome.

Wolfgang Schenck.Ritterkreuz 14th August 41 as Oberleutnant and commander of 1/210 after 9 victories.Eichenlaub 31st October 42 as Hauptmann and commander of I/ZG 1 after 18 victories and over 300 tactical sorties.
Born 7.2.1913 in Windhuk,Southwest Africa.Joined Luftwaffe 1036 with assignment to the Ritchofen Geschwader.Promoted to Leutnant 38 and flew bombers in Poland,Norway and France.Sink 38 000 shipping tonns in operations against England.
Flew support missions in Russian front and was given command of 2 Sch.G 1943 in Mediterranean.Wounted in action 2 times and was appointed inspector of close support bombers after recovery from 2nd wound in December 43.From 44 to end of war associated with jet fighter-bombers in testing and operational role.31.1.45 as Oberstleutnant was given command of KG 51,aswell being a inspector of jet aircraft.Nicname was "Bombo".

in 1939/40 he was with I Gruppe/ZG1 in Poland and France. In Sep 1940 he transferred to Erpr.Gruppe.210 as Staffelkapitan. In April 41 he took command of 1 Staffel/SKG.210 and in Sept 41 command of Erprobungsstaffel 210. Kommandeur of I Gruppe/ZG1 on 1 Jan 42. Kommodore of SG2 in the Mediterranean from 3 Jan 43. Inspector of Schlachtflieger from 11 Oct 43 and then led experimental unit of Me262s as bombers from June 1944. Kommodore of KG51(J) from 1 Nov 44. By the end of the war he was Inspector for Jet Aircraft.
