Could well be CV: but then again, any adit!
Good call though, I think, since it would make sense that he was shown the new V2 Silos... NO! - the French Battery, which was ripe for conversion/finishing..

Hello
Recieved some information from Alain Chazette , he also think as I that the General on the right is
Gen.d.Inf. Erich Straube commander of the LXXIV A.K. that was the northern part of Bretagne , so
It could be 24-01-1944 during the visit of Zitadelle Fort la Cité ( St. Malo ) .
Regards Jos

Who is the general standing behind Farhmbacher? Could it be the Generalleutnant Hans Schmidt, commander of 275.ID?
In several pictures, we find this general alongside Rommel and Fahrmbacher during the visit of the defenses of St. Nazaire on February 18, 1944.

Re: Rommel - inspecting the Atlantikwall.
Immediately above, the tall general welcoming Rommel was the Kmdt v Le Harve GenMj Walter Leuze.
In the two pictures with captured and re-fitted French Hotchkiss and Infanterie Schlepper with a field cap was GenLt Wilhelm Meise, Gen di Pi OB West.
Cheers
Freiherr
