Hello

This topic has almost died out since it was removed from the Fortifications tread - where the purpose was to identify the locations on the pictures - not the persons!!!!
Ok here we go - can we put some life into this topic again?
This picture might have been here before, but not in color (it might have been colorized resently) but any one for the location, please :-) Source in the picture, might be a still from a movie.

Regards
Kurt - kstdk

Hello Kurt,

I'll give it a try to relaunch this interesting topic.
Your location is most likely Maisons Lafitte (Paris region). date: 11/01/1944.

Sincerely,

Charles Steiner

Hello Mr. Charles Steiner

Ok Rommel was inspecting the 21. Panzerdivision / Generalmajor Edgar Feuchtinger (also on the picture) so it fits the place and date :-). It was also here the famous picture of Rommel eating his plate of hot meal on the hood of the Horch staff car was taken :-)Later that day Rommel was visiting the underground positions at Poissy for a possible new Headquarter, and also visiting the Marine Torpedo Arsenal West at Houille.
Thanks for the answer :-)
Regards

Hello all

A couple of "new" pictures here (source: E-bay.de). I suppose it is from MKB Salzwedel, Raversijde on the 21 december 1943 - it looks like that place, and one of the officers look like Oblt. Dr. Robert Köppe (with glasses) who was Battery Commander, and I think the other (Marine) officer is K.Kpt. Karl Witt - but not 100 % sure?
Any one for an ID to confirm?

Hello
A new one from E-Bay: Anyone for ID´ing the location or other officers on this pisture? Not much to go on regarding location, no landmarks - but the other officers maybe?
To narrow it down, it must be after 1 of february 1944, because Rommel is wearing his leather coat. On pictures before that date he is wearing his cloth coat with the red/dark collar.

Hi guys, I'm looking for a list of Rommel's inspection tours/visits from late 1943-1944 (dates, sectors, etc). I though it should be easy enough to find such a list, but I'm unable to find one. Any suggestion will be very much appreciated.

There are some reports about his visitis that are unclear how long he was in a certain sector.

Hello
This could help a little bit of the way :-) http://sgmcaen.free.fr/agenda-rommel.htm
Otherwise I can recommend the book: Rommel - by Hans Sakkers: https://www.abebooks.com/book-search/ti ... s-sakkers/

ROMMEL IN HELGOLAND?

#375

Post by einwehrmann2 » 20 Dec 2017, 20:30

Let me tell you this about the SOLD photos of Rommel in Helgoland. I used to collect Rommel. That is why I have so many Rommel photos. Whenever I bought a photo from Germany (where 95% of them came from) I would trust the seller not to mislead me. These photos were from Helgoland - so the seller said. I wish I could remember who I bought them from, but alas I can't. That photo that I sold Bill Kramer had the name of the General on the back, so I sold it as it was labeled. I guess Bill was satisfied with it, or so he said on this forum. I would appreciate it is you have any more complaints or questions about anything I sell, that you ask ME about it,instead doing what you did. It took me awhile to discover this. If Bill hadn't posted it on the net I might never have discovered it. I wish Bill would remove his "FAKE ALERT!" I have moved all that crap to the repro section of my website YEARS AGO. Some of it I actually threw in the canal behind my house! When people see this outdated crap you keep alive, it makes you look foolish, because it is all gone. rommel-lebt.com
