Hello,
ansata1976 wrote:i am looking for the defendants of the Trial in Oldenburg 1946(Willi Herold) and their sentences and further informations.

for a rough sketch of Willi Herold's activities look here: http://www.feldgrau.net/forum/viewtopic ... t=muffrika

The book by Pantcheff mentioned here http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willi_Herold also looks promising.

These sites also give some information:
http://www.taz.de/index.php?id=archivse ... 4/11/a0308
http://euhausen.piranho.de/hauptmannherold.html

According to the last one there were 14 defendants in the Oldenburg trial. Seven of them (including Herold) received the death sentence. One of the defendants sentenced to death was acquitted later. Herold and five others were executed in Wolfenbüttel prison on Nov. 14th, 1946.

Best regards
Torsten

I found this information about the trial in Oldenburg against Willi Herold and other:

In August 1946 a war crimes trial began against Herold and 6 further accused in Oldenburg. They were made responsible for the murder by 125 humans. Herold, which did not show regret, and 6 further codefendants were condemned to death.
On 14 November 1946 the judgements in the prison were executed by by the drop hatchet.

I need the full name and more information of:

Hagewald
Meyer
Schütte
Euler
Brandt
Peller
