Signature......

Hi Guys,

I got this very interesting 11 page document issued by "Der Reichsfuehrer-SS und Chef der Deutschen Polizei in Rechsministerium des Innern" in Berlin on 7 december 1937. On the bottom of the second page is the following text: In Vertregung: gez. Daluge (no signature), then there is a circular seal with the text "Der Reichsfuehrer-SS und Chef der Deutschen Polizei in Rechsministerium des Innern - Chef der Ordungspolizei-Kanzlei" and the signature on the enclosed picture (it seems like Remecke, Rimecke, Reinecke, Rinecke or something similar). Would anyone have a guess, as to whom this signature belongs to? Of course, if you are able to ID the person, I would welcome a bio on him/her.

Thanks in advance!!!!

C.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the reply. Now as I am looking on the signature, I think you may be right. I run this name through my personal database and the only Reinecke there is SS-Sturmbannführer Dr. Reinecke. Could that be him, then?
Does anyone have any info on this man?

Thank you!!

Clara

Thanks so much Simon,

Would you, or anyone else, have a bio on SS-Oberführer Dr. Günther Reinecke, especially where he served during and before the WWII?

It also says that he was a "DR.", any idea of what?

Thank you,

Clara

the civil servant rank is a middle level rank in german administration.
it indicate he was a member of administrative staff of Orpo.
(verwaltungspolizei beamter)

anyway it can't be Dr Reinecke the SS jurist

1° Dr Reinecke never held such rank in german administration

2° generally a "Dr jur" held at the beginning of his administrative career a highest rank i.e. Regierungs assessor

mention "Dr"

indicate he was awarded as "Doctor in law" (Dr jur) as result of his jurist studies.
