I agree you, luftk. It is not the HJ-Ehrenzeichen.
Cheers.

.... and furthermore the HJ Golden Honour Badge is not in Göring's impressive collection!

Re: Did Göring have any relatives?
Very informative and thorough, Torsten!
What do you say to the claim, that Karl Megerle https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Megerle was the brother-in-law of Göring?: "Von seinem Privatleben ist nur bekannt, dass er verheiratet und Hermann Göring sein Schwager war". The note tells us: Maria Keipert (Red.): Biographisches Handbuch des deutschen Auswärtigen Dienstes 1871–1945. Herausgegeben vom Auswärtigen Amt, Historischer Dienst. Band 3: Gerhard Keiper, Martin Kröger: L–R. 2. Auflage. Oldenbourg, München 1987, S. 219 (dort ohne weitere Angaben in Fußnote 39: „Görings Schwager Karl Megerle“).

Hermann Göring in Heer's General uniform
I think I found something neat - a portrait of Göring wearing an Heer's General uniform.
My only doubt is how to contextualize it - it was a Reichswehr appointment, before Hitler's take of power; or after 1933, in the brief period in which the Army was kept un-nazified?
Thanks to everyone in advance!

I think is an uniform of Prussian Army, according to his cockade.

31.08.1933 Charakter als General der Infanterie a.D. mit RDA vom 01.10.1931
01.03.1935 General der Flieger
Before the establishment of the Luftwaffe, Göring appeared in Party, SA or Heer uniform (probably also Polizei, perhaps somebody has a photo?).

Göring’s Authority over the OKW
Hello all, new to this forum but I’m hoping to receive some help. I’ve searched for answers online but not much seems to go deep into the subject.
I understand that Göring was Reichsmarschall and Commander of the Luftwaffe, but did he have any kind of authority over the other branches of the Wehrmacht, the OKW in particular? Or did he only have command over the Luftwaffe? Thank you.

Re: Göring’s Authority over the OKW
Göring had no authority at all over the OKW which was only the department of war, under an other name, neither had Keitel (chief OKW ) any authority over Göring and the OKL.

Re: Did Göring have any relatives?
Hi, is Peter Göring, the East German border patrol who became the first DDR "martyr" in 1962, also a relative of the famous Reichsmarschall?

First Reichsmarschall uniform
Found this photo just recently. The date is from a VB article dated only 5 days after Göring's promotion to Reichsmarschall. This has to be the earliest version of the new uniform. Note that the collar tabs are of a regular Luftwaffe Generalfeldmarschall on his new Reichsmarschall uniform.

Hermann Göring where abouts in July 1941
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if there was any information of Hermann Göring's where abouts in July of 1941. I have unconfirmed info on his being at Rastenberg on July 1941 and at Orsha süd airfield on or about 19-20 July 1941. On both occasions he was traveling on his personal command train. I was wondering if anyone had hard info on this and can name a reliable (or any source) source ?
Thanks in advance for any input
