Here is a summary of his military career up to September 1941.

3.11.38 Kriegsakademie
26.8.39 AOK 14, O 2 - später AOK 12
15.1.40 OKH/Chef Trsp.Wesen (Feldtrsp.-Abt.)
10.6.40 zum Gen.St. kdt.
30.1.41 in den Gen.St. versetzt

Obstlt.i.G. 1.2.43 (66)

His last assignment was Ia Div. Sardinien. He was killed 25.5.43 when the aircraft he was in was shot down.

That's all I could find on him.

Hi Matt
Very kind of You. I have a question though (I speak german too, as well as english) on his time attending to gen. staff course.
According to the dates You gave (kdrt. z. Gen.St. 10.6.40, and versetzt z. Gen.St. 30.1.41) he should have attended to the first course (15.01 - 06.04.1940), but just on 15.01.1940 you wrote that he moved to OKH/Chef Transp.Wes.(Feldtransp.Abt.). As he certainly attended to the first course, he should have moved to OKH....in April 40, after the end of the course.

No Rossano. He is not in the member list of Course 1. He was a "normal" attendant of the war academy (Jahrgang 1938). He attended the Kriegsakademie 10.11.1938 - 25.08.1939, being taken over to General Staff (vers.) together with his fellow 1938 comrades on 30.01.1941.

Are there any genealogical info available on Oberstlt. i. G. Christoph Friedrich von Derschau.

I have looked him up in the Genealogisches Handbuch des Adels (GHdA) series, but the family von Derschau is not included. I would be interested in his full name and his date of birth, also a confirmation of the date of death would be great.
