Thanks Orlov.
Do I understand correctly that you are waiting for these documents from Ludwigsburg?

I have been trying to find a photo of him for 15 years now with no luck.

Excuse me - no. When I saw post about gen. Leistikow I check Bundesarchiv searching engine - Invenio. The French can help - because in the case of BAL it might be possible to order only all archival file (approx. 200-300 pages x 0,45 EUR) - but individual documents are not scanned.
Your next chance is to hire a historian from Ludwigsburg or Stuttgart - they take the minimum for two days queries. And last chatce is letter to BA-MA in beautiful flowery German asking for help.

Hi Orlov.

I understand now. Think I will just leave it. It's a bit difficult to organise that at the moment cause of covid19 plus, I don't speak French or German.

I appreciate the reply.

Regards.

Wow.... Thank you so much Georges. I never thought I would ever fine a photo of him.
I guess this photo is taken between WW1 and WW2. He would have only been 24 Y.O. at the end of WW1. He looks a lot older in the photo.

I'm happy to post photos of his tunic if you wish.

Thanks again for your help. Much appreciated.

Regards,
Andrew.

Hello Kurt,

That's amazing. Thank you so much.

I've been looking for a photo of him for almost 20 years. In fact, I had given up on it. One of the more elusive Generals to find.
I've had his Tunic for that time hence my interest in him.

Regards,
Andrew.
