I understand the German well enough I think . Reading the thread , it appears Dietl was a racist ( as were so many people at that time ) . However , I am interested in what his crimes were ?

From a military point of view, what you believe that were the main virtues of Eduard Dietl?

What were his major successes and major mistakes during the War?

A little doubt about the assignment of Eduard Dietl as commander of IR 20. How long was it?

According to Lexikon der Wehrmacht - Oberst Eduard Dietl 1 November 1934 - 1 January 1935.
According to Geschichte der 10. Division. 1933-1945 - Oberst Dietl until 6.10.1935
