Part 6: Western Front 1945 (January to March)

Years ago, when I started this thread, I intended to stop with 30 April 1945, the day of Hitler's suicide. As it appears now, the whole month of April is a very complicated and nebulous affair, with all fronts converging and numerous unoccupied or even retired generals being captured. Therefore and for the time being, I will use 31 March 1945 as the temporary end date.

Pity there are soo many Generals that would be nice to have discussed. Most sources as Bezborodova, Folltmann etc. have numerous errors.
