demonio -- There were rumors that Hess was one of a group of homosexual Nazis who were not executed in the purge of the SA in 1934. The nickname "Fraulein Anna" referred to his supposed homosexual activities.

This guy is so funny (Hess). Just the thought of this guy is cause for hilarity. Have you seen Goering laughing at him during nuremberg with his plea of "no"instead of not guilty.

I believe also, alot of rumours came up in regard to all of the upper Nazis. I remember reading somewhere that Himmler was a transvestite named "Bertha". I think most of these names came post-war and were the product of some inventive minds, however.

There may be something in this. I can believe gay/sinister about roehm and hess respectively, but there is a tendency for jealous males to dub the well dressed men as gay, fairies, pink etc. Probably jealous of those wonderful uniforms

This is an interesting topic, other Nazis had perversions, such as Goering, who was a crossdresser and liked to wear makeup, Schirach, who was rumored to be bisexual for the look of his room (it was pink!) and he didn't act very manly, while Streicher was fired as a schoolteacher on the accusation of pederasty. Some Nazis who were homosexual without a doubt are Ernst Roehm, Albert Forster, Edmund Heines, and Karl Ernst. As for rumors about Hitler being gay, I don't believe it, because many of the sources that claim he was gay seem very homophobic. Plus, what about his relationships with Eva Braun and Geli Raubal?

Nicknames for Hess included:

Rudolf Hess = called “Hesserl” by Hitler
Rudolf Hess = called “Fräulein Hess” by Otto Strasser.
Rudolf Hess = called “Fräulein Anna” by Ernst Hanfstaengl
Rudolf Hess = called “Fräulein Gusti” by Ernst Hanfstaengl
Rudolf Hess = called “Black Paula” by Ernst Röhm
Rudolf Hess = called “Black Grete” by Bella Fromm
Rudolf Hess = called “Black Emma” by Erich Ebermayer

Hess was allegged to be an homosexual (thus “Fräulein” and transvestite (thus “Black”), but why “Black” should apply to a transvestite I don’t know. — Schultz

Which is all sort of interesting considering the fact that Hanfstaengl was umored to be gay, or at least bi-sexual....

Sure, and Röhm was out of the closet, so maybe it takes one to know one?

Of course Strasser was right about Brückner, as declassified SD documents now prove.
