Richert and Hamann
Richert and Hamann
These two generals were both involved in Bagration. The former managed to extract much of his division, the latter was the unfortunate person nominated as garrison commander at Bobruisk.
Both were executed by the Soviet Union after the war for war crimes.
Can anyone give me any information about the charges brought against them?

Re: Richert and Hamann
I recently purchased a volume of the Deutsches Rotes Kreuz Suchdienst and in it I see that someone (presumably family) submitted Gen Adolf Hamann's name & photo to find out what happened to him??? This was in the late 50's of course and I was under the impression these books were for people to track missing soldiers/civilians that could possibly still be alive or at least it was unknown what had become of them. Just seems odd for him to be in there.
