Hello,
I'm trying to find out more about the role and position of this General in late 1943 and 1944.
He's associated with construction work in the sector of AOK7 but I have too little information to understand how exactly.

According to HPA PV: Oberst z.D. Hellwig was "im Heere angestellt" as Oberst mit Wirkung vom 01 Aug 1941 and RDA vom 01 Sep 1935 (12).

24.05.1943 kommandiert zum Stab des Militärbefehlshabers in Frankreich
01.08.1943 kommandiert zum Stab der 18. Armee
05.12.1943 Führerreserve OKH (III)
31.05.1944 aus dem aktiven Wehrdienst entlassen
