Dear all,

can anybody shed light on the fate of Oberst Wolf von Wolff. Here is the Volksbund entry but I would like to know what exactly happened to him in East-Prussia (Angerburg)? Until 1937 he was Adjutant to Keitel in the Wehrmachtsamt (later renamed OKW).

Nachname: v. Wolff
Vorname: Wolf
Dienstgrad: Oberst
Geburtsdatum: 18.10.1895
Geburtsort: Köln
Todes-/Vermisstendatum: 23.02.1943
Todes-/Vermisstenort: Angerburg/Ostpr.

Not to confuse the issue, but the "Gedenkbuch des Deutschen Adels", C.A. Starke Verlag, 1967 page 381 states that he was killed in action at Charkow.

Hello,
from Personalveränderungen I have him as Kommandeur der Kraftfahr-Parktruppen 4 from 12.01.1943...
Hope that's help a little

Thanks Andy,

you are right GHdA also has:
* 18.10.1895, Köln
+ 23.02.1943, Charkow
So I will replace the Volksbund data and will go on with the Gedenkbuch and GHdA data, which make more sense.
