Hi
Does anyone know of a Hans-Jürgen von Cramon?
He was a Luftwaffe officer, and in early 1940, he was stationed in Guernsey, Channel Islands in the early part of the Occupation.
It was alleged he was kicked out of the air force because his wife was a jew, and his squadron had to paint red bands around the noses of their aircraft. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Hans-Jürgen von Cramon

Re: Hans-Jürgen von Cramon
I believe his full name was von Cramon-Taubadel, he was the Kommodore of JG 53 during the Battle, and an old friend of my uncle's from that time. I have heard the story about his wife, but he was not to my knowledge kicked out of the Luftwaffe.
