So obviously Boysen wasn't Kommandeur der Ersatztruppen VIII before October 15th, 1939. Does anyone know who it could have been?

Re: Generalmajor Wolf Boysen
Ciao Rossano,
Actually, there were frequently two replacement commands in each Wehrkreis in Fall 1939: Kommandeur der Ersatztruppen 1./XIII and 2./XIII for Wehrkreis VII for instance, which later gave birth to Divisionen Nr.173 and Nr.193.
But for Wehrkreis VIII, it appears to have been a separate process: Kommandeur der Ersatztruppen VIII was created during the mobilization late August 1939. On November 19th, 1939, it was transformed in 158. Division and later in Division Nr.158.
I'm guessing, since Boysen was the commanding officer as of October 15th, 1939, than Generalmajor z.V. Karl Bornemann was the one before, between August 26th and October 15th, 1939.
Thank you very much for your help, you decisively helped to solve this mystery!
The following mystery is: who replaced Boysen as head of 158. Division on December 1st, 1939...
Nothing more about the German military mission in Romania, I'm afraid. But I'm working on it!

Re: Generalmajor Wolf Boysen
Bornemann again was from 11.39 Kdr. 158. Div.(ex Kdr. Ers.Tr.1/VIII)
P.S.: it´d be fine ev. from other commands too…………...

Re: Generalmajor Wolf Boysen
For Bornemann, I didn't find these informations.
Division Nr.158 (whatever its name at this time) was commanded by Wolf Boysen until December 1st, 1939. Then I have this huge gap until June 4th, 1940 (Josef Russwurm becoming the new commander this day). Bornemann could fill it for some time, but it still lays a blank space.
Anyway, thank you for this very valuable information.
I'm not working on other stuff right now, but if I find something, sure I'll tell you what I digged out.

Re: Generalmajor Wolf Boysen
So, if I can sum up, for Kommandeur der Ersatztruppen VIII, renamed 158. Division on November 19th, 1939, then Division Nr.158 on January 6th, 1940, we have the following commanding officers:
- Generalmajor z.V. Karl Bornemann from August 26th to October 15th, 1939;
- Generalmajor Wolf Boysen from October 15th to December 1st, 1939;
- Generalleutnant z.V. Karl Bornemann from December 1st, 1939 to January 10th, 1940;
- Generalleutnant z.V. Hubert Gercke from January 10th to June 4th, 1940;
- Generalmajor Josef Russwurm from June 4th, 1940 until 1942.
Is this list looks correct to you?
I'm pretty sure that some days can be mistakes (for instance, June 4th or June 14th, 1940)? But I think we have the whole list of commanders for this division.

*Up*
No one to check this list, especially the exact days when Bornemann and Gercke took their command?
