Oberst Helmuth von Schön-Angerer (1900-?)

Post by Melax » 10 Sep 2020 13:02

Hi,

I am looking for informations about one

Major von Schön-Angerer - who was Stoart (Stabsoffizier der Artillerie) in the Staff of 11.Armee in 1941/42

So far I have found 2 Officers with the name

Oberst Joachim von Schön-Angerer *04.04.1904 - he should not be the one I am looking for

and

Oberst Helmuth von Schön-Angerer *17.07.1900

Helmuth v.S.-A. COULD be the one I am looking for but there is no data to make it clear...

maybe one of you have an idea or could provide informations about the StOArt of 11.Armee in the time of Barbarossa?

would be glad fo any kind of informations/picture etc :)

also, if anybody has an idea were to find informations about german artillery officers, I would be glad to learn about so I don't have to ask so many questions

thanks a lot and regards,

Alexander

Hi Rossano,

would be a great info but how can you be sure about it? Do you have a reference/document?

Here is the date of Joachim from the Handliste der Generalstabsoffiziere 1941. They obviously underwent a name changing in the 1930s, because the old name with which they are listed is Angerer gen. von Schön.

So Joachim is not your man. I believe Rossano is right and it should be Helmut, an ext. Artillery officer.

Best!
Jürgen

I am having some trouble with my eyes, so I will just post this rather than trying to transcribe the information. If someone wants to transcribe it so it is easier to read and searchable, please have at it.

Any chance he received the Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938?

Probably not. His regiment was based in Westfalen.

You can add Krone v. Rumänien, III.Kl. m. Schw. am B. on 9.8.1941.
