I thought it might be the Adjutant der 10. Armee, Alif, but I was wrong.

Here's a prewar photo of a Bavarian major from IR 21 but the dedication on the back is not very legible.

If the signature on the back were to be deciphered, maybe a face could be added to an existing bio here in the forum that might lack a photo.
