A Lot of High Ranking German Officers
Gentlemen,
I'm afraid we will never get a complete list of German holders of these two high decorations from Croatia. However I'm sure there were a lot of high ranking German officers from the Wehrmacht,Waffen-SS,Police,etc. that had gotten a high decoration from Croatia.

Generalmajor Anton Mayer
Gentlemen,
Generalmajor (Luftwaffe) Anton Mayer
b. 09. 08. 1881 in Gaming/Niederösterreich
d. 17. 11. 1961 in Wien
There was a picture (Biblio) of him wearing a neck order called King Zvonimir 1st class. Too bad I have no way of putting that picture on this forum.

Hello! In the recently published Band 7 (Knabe-Luz) of Bradley's Die Generale des Heeres, 1921-1945, there is an excellent photo of Generalmajor Hermann Linkenbach (8 April 1889-29 June 1959) displaying the Croatian Order of the Crown of King Zvonimir, 1st Class with Star and Swords.
Best regards,
Shawn

Also in the recently published Band 7 (Knabe-Luz) of Bradley's Die Generale des Heeres, 1921-1945, there is a somewhat fuzzy photo of Generalmajor z.V. Rudolf zu der Luth (5 July 1880-14 September 1961) displaying the Croatian Order of the Crown of King Zvonimir, 1st Class with Star. I’m uncertain if his award features the Swords due to the photo quality. He is also wearing the neck badge and breast star of a Grand Commander of the Hungarian Order of Merit (without Swords).
Best regards,
Shawn

Hannes (hec801) previously posted a photo of an unknown holder of the Knight’s Cross and the Order of the Crown of King Zvonimir, 3rd Class with Oakleaves. Does anyone recognize him? Thanks!

Although not a German, Zastavnik (Feldwebel) Ján Režňák, Slovakia’s leading fighter ace, received the Medal of the Order of the Crown of King Zvonimir in Silver.

Hello! Here are a few scans from the source cited featuring unknown holders of the Order of the Crown of King Zvonimir.
The first depicts an SS-Sturmbannführer purportedly from the 7. SS-Freiwilligen-Gebirgs Division “Prinz Eugen” wearing the 2nd Class (with Oakleaves?) pinned to his right breast. He is also displaying the Badge of Honor of the Bulgarian Infantry below his War Merit Cross, 1st Class with Swords.
The next features a painting of an unknown Oberst from, I believe the 1st Don Cossacks Cavalry Regiment. He is displaying the 1st Class with Oakleaves of the order. I believe the artist was Olaf Jordan from the Staff of Pictorial Artists (Staffel der Bildenden Kunstler)/OKW.
Does anyone recognize these officers? Can anyone translate the Cyrillic writing in the corner of the painting? Thanks for any assistance!
Best regards,
Shawn
