I´m still wondering about the award for Gen. d. Art. Lindemann, which was cancelled later. I can´t imagine how this happened exactly.

I try to deliver a theory.

Maybe there were two decrees regarding Lindemann like there were two for Schiel. Maybe the 2nd decree for Lindemann is not mentioned in the book. Maybe only the 2nd decree for Lindemann was cancelled like it happened with Schiel.
I think I am right with my theory. Lindemann was a recipient (see the Bergen pic of him wearing his award). So the list is an amazing source but obviously incomplete at least regarding Lindemann and Mieth.

Best!

Are you sure we are talking about the same Lindemann here? the one who's award was canceled was a colonel. Probably the Royal Decree No. 2040/16 July 1942, in which Lindemann was originally awarded, could offer more information, but who knows when I will be able to see it.

I'm a little confused here. Is the man of the last pic posted GdA Fritz Lindemann or not?
Is he Gerhard or Karl-Wilhelm?

Fangio, it is Fritz Lindemann. Here another pic (of poor quality) with the same award.

That is obviously my mistake. A Copy and Paste mistake that is. The correct decree is 712, not 721.
After a long time, one more question. Ok, so it's decree 712 and not 721, but what`s with name? It's the same man: Egbert von Stuemer. I read that the same man could not receive the award twice, or am I wrong?

Best,

He received it only once. There is an extra von Stuemer entry in the list, which I now corrected in the intitial post. Also, Helmuth Krauss' award was in the same Royal Decree: no. 721/30 March 1944.
