I agree that we have Port and Schnitger but I am not convinced by Schmitzer and Schuss.
Denis
I saw your remark on the identification of Schmitzer and Schuss. I got these ID's from my uncle and I must admit that for Schuss I found it also a strange conclusion. When checking today, I noticed that the ear of Schmitzer also does not correspond with that of the guy in the trainstation. Today by accident I came accross a photo that caught my attention and made me think that it could well be these two guy's. The one on the left is Fw. Rudolf Tröger and the one in the middle is to me still unknown, but they seem to me more possible candidates than Schmitzer and Schuss. The photo is from before they received their RK. What do you think?

Hugo.

The soldier in the middle does look like to one of unknown RKT, it is true.
The problem is that Tröger was awarded the KC on April 1945 while the picture of the 4 RKT at the train window was taken before November 1942 (the issue of the Illustrierte Beobachter is dated 26th of November, 1942).
I think this is a long quest before identifying the remaining 2 soldiers.
Thanks for your help, it 's altogether that we will be successful
Denis

Page 60 picture Kaellner_x.jpg is according my information Alfred Druffner receiving the RK from Källner and not Nähring.
The next picture naehring.jpg shows Nähring receiving the RK.

Picture "unkrkt%20a%20%28www_historical-media_com%29.jpg" on page 306, is the same as picture mkrv 53 on page 583, identified as Albert Annies; he is not recognized as a Knight's cross recipient.
