Karelia, soldiers of the 7. Gebirgs-Division. Could it be General Richard Bazing in the middle? Who is the Knight's Cross bearer on the right?
Many Thanks

On the reverse, the photo has been dated to Christmas 1944. The men belong to the Battalion Gep. (Armored?) St. (Staff?) II. of Grenadier Regiment 948, part of the 359th Infantry Division. At the time they were stationed in Wesola, 20 kms east of Tarnów (modern day southern Poland).
Same source as above.

It shows a crowd attending a speech by A.H. on the occasion of the inauguration of the charity “Kriegswinterhilfswerk” (War Winter Relief) of 1942/43 in the process of applauding. Soldiers of different organisations can be seen, two SS men, one of them a Sturmbannführer, several soldiers of the army, and a Luftwaffe Sergeant. Both the Sturmbannführer and the Sergeant wear Knight’s Crosses.
