Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
@24 this page. Jürgen Oesten.
There was a photograph, Mrs. Reche gave to me to do a copy. On the back you could read:
" Der Kommandant (Reche) kriegts EK 1, nur Oesten schaut, als hätt# er keins!"
Best wishes

@55 Feldwebel Emil Wernig, we saw him some weeks ago!

On von Romans right I think we see Jobst von Hanstein.
The 35. ID. is a D from the area I live, we call Baden-Württemberg. I new Burst and Rögelein. Some years ago I showed you a photograph of the KC-ceremony of Oberfeldwebel Xaver Maerz by Gen. von Roman. There was another KC-holder, who still is not indentified.
Thank you for all your help
Kind regards

Page 1220: @23 looks like Josef Menapace, although the collar patches seem a little dark for flying personnel.

@9 - Id: Rudolf Freiherr von Roman & Kurt Lottner is not Lottner
He is most likely later general Hans Wulz. Lottner is the man on the far left of von Roman beside Wulz!
Kind regards

I mean what I write! The man next to von Roman is not Lottner! See the DKiG forum!
