Thanks Sinjoorke.
Can you confirm, if the man in the middle, is Ernst-August Niermann, comrade of Hans U. Rudel ?
Thanks.

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Although I'm not that well informed about non RKT-officers, I found the same photo on the www.tracesofwar.com site, confirming that it is him indeed.

Hugo.

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Thank you everyone who helps in IDing these award holders. I know I greatly appreciate it as it helps me with my collection. Here is another one for you all. This one may be difficult (Yet I have not been able to stump anyone.) This is of a LT with his unit in DEC 1943 celebrating "Bunker Christmas"
Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Hugo I think you are right. The flat part of his inner ear is the right shape and those sun glasses. It also looks like he had a bad sun burn at the time. My concern is that this photo is without the German cross in gold. I also read somewhere that he was never officially approved for the knights cross.
