Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
A question for the experts to solve, on this site this soldier is identified as Josef Hansen on page 152 in the KC Database. (RK: as Grenadier-Regiment 317). However, on the Traces of War site, his name appears as Franz-Josef Ganssen. (RK: as Grenadier-Regiment 159. Ganssen is the first poor-quality picture from the Traces of War site and the second image Hansen from KC Data base page 152. My personal vote goes for Ganssen, not Hansen.

If it is Ganssen, can anyone post a photo of Josef Hansen?HILL60 wrote: ↑12 Mar 2023 05:02A question for the experts to solve, on this site this soldier is identified as Josef Hansen on page 152 in the KC Database. Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
This is not Gfm. von Manstein as written under the photo, but Gfm. Wilhelm List.
