If the identity is between Hermann Kress and Wilhelm Jost, I think is Jost. Interenting to note the Verwundetenabzeichen in the portrait of the unknow.

To be honest, I think it's neither of the two candidates (Walter Jost and Hermann Kress).
The unknown RKT had hair, and both Jost and Kress were completely bald (at the top at least).
But, if I had to choose one, I would go with Jost.
