from an actually running ebay-auction...

This Officer is announced as "General and oakleavesholder" - but I have no idea, who this officer in StuG-uniform could be. The only StuG-officer with oakleaves, who - as far as I know - became general, was "Hoffmann-Schoenborn" - but it is definetely not him. So any idea, who this officer could be and why he is wearing a StuG-uniform - or is the uniform in the end a tank-uniform?

Regards, Peter

Hi Peter!

I believe it is Generalleutnant Werner Marcks, commander of various Pz.Div.

This was GenLt Rudolf FrHr v Waldenfels, ELT and Kmdr 6 Pz. For some reason he was wearing a grey Stug Wrap. I believe Akira owned some of the pics in the album. It's hiding in some WA forum thread.

Cheers

Thanks Freiherr for putting me right. As the years progress, so the eyesight and grey matter gets weaker

Best regards,

Hi!

The face is so familiar, but for the life of me I can't put a name to it. Please put my mind at ease!
