It reads Gustav Soldner
Kp.Chef im Pz.Gren.Rgt. 66
the date I can't decipher exactly ; his award date is 18.07.1944 (as Olt d.R., Chef 1./PGR 66)

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Hello, Bake,
The pic you posted at the bottom of Page 207 is Heinz Bauer. He is Dr. Heinz Bauer. Knight's Cross on 12.6 1944 and that is indicated there.
His position: Oberleutnant der Reserve (at time of award) According to the information on the paper onto which the photo is attached, he was the Regimental Adjutant of Grenadier Regiment 585.
Hope this helps.
Terry

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Hello, again, Bake,
I just noticed that after the designation Hptm. (Hauptmann) is also indicated d. R. (der Reserve)
Take care.

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
The most generals of the famous NAFA site (Norway , Reichskommissariat collection)
http://presentations.uib.no/pls/portal/ ... _PART.show
have been identified on PP 92 - 101.
A few are not identified
page 92 : RKT25.jpg and RKT27.jpg = Fr-W von Chappuis or not ?
somewhere I found RKT25.jpg said to be Kurt Herzog, Genlt., 291. Inf.Div. (??)
in contrast to RKT27.jpg this one on page 95 is identified as
Friedrich-Wilhelm von Chappuis
RKT28.jpg Rudolf Schniewindt ?
