Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Hello, Bernd,
Just saw your post. I think I can help you with a couple of these.
RTK 8, I will confirm as being Hogrebe. I thought this one had already been identified for certain.
Källner, yes.
However, for the one you listed as "Heinrich_maybe" is Kurt Student.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
Terry

Hello, Bernd,
You are asking for confirmation of the debate of the pic posted on Page 30 as being either Siegfried Schnell or Joachim Müncheberg.
Without a doubt that is a Rohr photograph of Joachim Müncheberg, not Siegfried Schnell.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Terry !
So, still open the one presented by Källner. Student, Yes, the one in opposite probably not a RKT (other ceremony?). Anyone with a confirmation for Wilhelm Berg ?
Best regards
Bernd

Hello, Bake,
The pic you posted on page 212 at the bottom depicts a wounded Oberfeldwebel being awarded the KC. The Oberfeldwebel and the abbreviation on the is just that, is that of Hans-Wilhelm Bender, of KG-3. I have not yet identified the Oberst but if someone else does not, I will at some point today.
Take care.

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Hello, Bernd,
As to your query for confirmation of Wilhelm Berg in the photo above that of Hogrebe on Page 32, there is no doubt that Wilhelm Berg is the enlisted man portrayed in that pic. In the one below, unless you know for certain that it was taken from the same sequence of pix as was the pic of Berg, I cannot tell that it is. However, there is no question that in the pic above that of Hogrebe, I can confirm that it is in fact a pic of Wilhelm Berg.
Hope this helps.
Take care.

Hello, Bernd,
Thanks for the note. To answer your question about the unknown Rk-träger on Page 34, numbers 28, 29, and 30. They are positively those of Hans-Ulrich Rudel. No question.
Hope this helps.
