Greeting from Indonesia! :-)

From http://www.war44.com/forum/german-medal ... -wait.html

Who is the U-boat commander bestowed with RK? And who is his commanding admiral?

Could it be Hans-Dietrich von Tiesenhausen?

Yes, it is Kapitänleutnant Freiherr Hans-Dietrich von Tiesenhausen. You're the man, Transpspeer! :)

Do you know the commanding (admiral, maybe) who awarded the RK?

Thanks. :)

Maybe he is not an Admiral at all. I don't see sleeve insignia indicating such a rank. At least Fregattenkapitän for sure.

Igor

This one from the "Cy" series on page 250 is (indeed) Heinrich König, GR 915
I would agree to (and listed like that for now) Hans Drexler, Pz.AA 129

objection :
page 248 : SM0121.jpg
Robert, and all,
I find no KC Holder Oskar John ; and I find no KC Holder of "Sonderkommando Komet", resp. Erprobungskommando 16 (Me 163B "Komet") or the operational unit I./JG 400.

The index is updated. The list of not identified from the previous pages since the last report.

page 247 : Sevastopol RKT.jpg (again) , Awards2.jpg , Awards4a.jpg

page 248 : 31e6_1.jpg and 3f66_1.jpg , SM0121.jpg , SM0123.jpg

page 250 : Erich Rehm maybe.jpg , SM0203.jpg

SM0203 looks like Meinrad von Lauchert ; the signature is hard to read and isn't a perfect but could be a match.

page 251 : SM282A.jpg , SM283A.jpg , gfd.jpg , SM0325.jpg

page 252 : Pilot SG2 Immelmann.jpg

page 254 : SM0452.jpg

and from the series of the all-time most requested :
page 248, top
Description was: September 1944, Warsaw.

Best regards
Bernd

Hello, Bernd,

Just read your post concerning Oskar John SMO121. He is listed in Gerhard von Seemen as having received the KC on 25. Nov 1944.

He is not listed in Fellgiebel at all. With or without the KC, the depiction SMO121 is in fact Oskar John.

Hope this helps.

Take care.

Terry

Hello Bernd/Terry

Oskar John is not mentioned in Scherzer either, even among those listed as 'disqualified'

From the biography of General der Infanterie Friedrich-Wilhelm Müller at http://historic.de/Militar/Personen/Mueller/Mueller.htm

Who is the center RK? One thing for sure, he is from 22. Infanterie-Division...
