Thanks for pointing this out JC, didn't even noticed it before.
Yes, there's no question about it - it's Hämel (the same picture is in Tieke's Tragödie um die Treu) same goes also for Heinz Werner (Weidinger's Das Reich Bd.V)

The one in front is Schwerterträger Joachim Peiper, behind him his adjutant RKT Werner Wolff (gefallen Ungarns 1945), both of III(gep.)/SSPGD 2 LAH. The picture was takein in Italy, 1943.

Hello all,

6 - Lorenz Harthan
11 - Hans Guenther Stotten??
12 - Fritz Fessman??

Attached is supposed to be officers that fought in Demjansk. Who are RKT colonel behind Goebbels and RKT Totenkopf ObStFhr?

Cheers

Good question! I believe the Totenkopf officer shaking hands with Goebbels is Arzelino (“Lino”) Masarié (10.10.1912-09.08.1944).

Shawn

Thanks Shawn, so far so good. I looked at the picture I have in my book and indeed the collar patch shows that of a HptstrmFhr, Masarie's rank when he got the RK.

Cheers

Hi!

Can anyone please identify the attached pic. It is hard to tell, but it seems as if he may have two pips, making him a full General der.... If that is the case, could he be General der Artillerie Herbert Loch? Hans Gollnick is standing in the background.

Thanks in advance,

VJK

Hi Stauffenberg II,

Now that you mention it I can see a certain resemblance. Do you have any pics of von der Chevallerie wearing glasses? Attached is my pic of Loch for comparison.

Unfortunately not VJK. But I was often surprised to see guys wearing glasses suddenly (ex. Hengl). The hair style and the mouth seem to be similar as well as his height.
