Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Hello, Bernd,
On page 3, you ask for id's of the following according to the series in which these photos have been posted.
No. 22 is Hans Dorr
No. 41 is Heinz Nowotnik
No. 48 is General Viktor von Schwedler.
There are a couple of others who are familiar and will determine who they are shortly.
Take care and hope this helps.
Terry

Hello Terry
Are you sure 41 is Nowotnik? This particular photo has been around for a long time on more than one forum and many believe that it is not Nowotnik.

Hi,
Going through my old files, I found this pic. His face seems very familiar, but I can't put a name to him.
Best regards,
VJK

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Hello, John,
Many thanks for your post. Comparing that pic with the one Mr. Nowotnik sent me some years back, and they are different, but, even so, if they are not the same, they could almost be twins. I can see no discernible difference, but I will check further.
I realize that this pic has been around for a while, but I will continue my research on this to confirm or post a correction. In any case, I will write again.
Greetings to you from sunny and cool Amarillo, Texas.
Take care.
Terry
