Victor,
Hans-Detlef Herhudt von Rohden (23 Sep 1899-14 Dec 1951) was a Luftwaffe officer who ultimately achieved the rank of Generalmajor (1 Oct 1943). He was also a recipient of the German Cross in Gold. Here are his assignments from 1940-1941:
1 Oct 1939-1 June 1940: Course Leader at the Luftkriegsakademie, Berlin-Gatow.
2 June 1940-26 July 1940: Kommodore of Kampfgeschwader 4 “General Wever”.
26 July 1940-1 Oct 1940: Wounded/hospitalized.
1-14 Oct 1940: Detached to Kampfgeschwader 4 “General Wever”.
15 Oct 1940-19 Feb 1941: Again at the Luftkriegsakademie, Berlin-Gatow.
20 Feb 1941-30 Sep 1941: Chief of Staff of the IV. Fliegerkorps.
1 Oct 1941-12 Aug 1942: Chief of Staff of the IX. Fliegerkorps.
I take it he received a Romanian decoration sometime in 1940-1941? Perhaps it was in connection with the Luftkriegsakademie – did any Romanian officers attend that institution? Also, his service with the IV. Fliegerkorps (Luftflotte 4) in the summer of 1941 could have garnered him a Romanian decoration.
Best regards,
Shawn

Well, this project of mine has been shelved for a while now and, frankly, I doubt I will ever have the time and patience to finish it the way things are going and given its low priority for me. So, I will slowly start to share with you the info on the German pilots, as it will probably be of some interest to some. The decrees will be published in the chronological order. Expect to find many incomplete/slight erroneous names. In between [] are the correct names I managed to identify.
