Hy BR,

thank´s a lot for your reply!
Pitty that I´m not so familiar with the abbreviations here in the forum.
I should/must check the forum maybe there is a list with the most common ones.

Best regards,
Roman

T.K.,

I have replaced "Landesschützen" with "Landesschutz" in your respective posting.

In answering your question, my comment is : I don't know what happened ! :? Any edit I do is inclusive a Mod's note basically.

Added, thanks !
It's Lw-Jäg.Btl. z.b.V. 8 !? Yes for the existence of "8". Or is there a second number ?

Looks like an 8 to me, I think it was on duty in North Italy.

I may be forgetting something but if Brauer, Ludl, Prasch and Kuhbandner all have the date 15th February 1945, why on earth did the Volkischer Beobachter newspaper in Berlin printed on 22nd February 1945 report to the German people the award of the badges was made personally by Himmler to them on the 21st February 1945? Have I missed something?

I would even say SS-Oscha Winter Oswald is just a duplicate of SS-Oscha Walter Oswald since I couldn't find Winter on the original source and as far as we know there were just 10 BKAg awarded to KWB\KJ members.

So:
SS-Strm. Armstark Richard Gold 09/03/1945
SS-Strm. Brauer Rudi Gold 15/02/1945
SS-Uscha Fabel Friedrich Gold 09/03/1945
SS-Strm. Götzinger Michael Gold 09/03/1945
SS-Ostuf. Kühbandner Erich Gold 15/02/1945
SS-Hscha Ludl Alfred Gold 15/02/1945
SS-Strm. Mootz Johann Gold 09/03/1945
SS-Ostuf. Prasch Helmuth Gold 15/02/1945
SS-Uscha Sinemus Kurt Gold 09/03/1945
SS-Oscha Walter Oswald Gold 09/03/1945

Hello Matt,

I would think the RF-SS made the BKA certificates for these guys few days before the awarding, let say the 15, since the guys went to Berlin from Italy, so it would take few days: the real awarding of badges was then only few days later, on 21, and 22 the newspaper printed the new in relation to the proper awarding not to the date on the certificate. infact date on the certificate would actually mean nothing, the importan thing for the BKA was the Bandenkampftage list

Thanks
