On Oberst or GM Max Stiotta, was his Austrian title "Edler von Heckenjos" or "Hockenjos"? I noticed that he is mostly spelled with an "O", but Frech uses an "E" in his bio. Typo or new info?

I have checked Rangliste 1916 and Broucek, Jansa, now. In both sources Stioatta is just written as

Max Edler von Stiotta.

I do not know wherever the "Edler von Hockenjos" or "Heckenjos" (maybe just a typo) would have it´s origin. Eventually the family got added this name during the last two years of the war. But I am not able to check this with help of my sources.

thank you very much for this interesting pic. I am quite sure he did not serve in the Wehrmacht. There is signature on the pic which I would read as Jammernegg. I have no General with this name in my records so I would think it is the photographer.
