Ernst Schrade is listed as a DKiG träger with the 21.Infanterie-Division, page 9 of this thread:
Schrade, Ernst, 07.10.1943, Oblt., Pi.Btl. 21

Besides he was awarded with the NKSiG:
Schrade, Ernst, 16-5-1944, Hauptmann d.R., Pionier-Bataillon 656/Pionier-Regimentsstab z.b.V. 519/X.Armeekorps/16.Armee

Maybe I am wrong but I think that his NKSiG data are not in this thread, at least I haven't seen it.

Hi Jordi,
Pionier Heerestruppen are not yet listed. I have a list of all Pionier KC holders but didn't have the time to open this new section. Let's keep him in mind to add then, thanks !
btw, other branches which will round up the project like "schwere Artillerie-Abteilungen" e.g. are not yet listed as well. Starting a new section / branch requires a basic list which is open for additions, otherwise we loose the overview. All to come :)

Another point I want to ask you, Jordi. Below the list of 250. Inf.Div (span.) :
250. Infanterie – Division (span.)
“Division Azul” / “Blaue Division”

for further info : http://axishistory.com/index.php?id=3849
photo thread : http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=38122

total : 3 KC (2 RK + 1 EL)

Munos-Grandes, Don Augustin
Oakleaves [o.Nr.] 13.12.1942 Generalleutnant Kdr 250. Inf.Div (span.)
Knight’s cross 12.03.1942 Generalleutnant Kdr 250. Inf.Div (span.)

Esteban-Infantes, Emilio
Knight's Cross 03.10.1943 Generalleutnant Kdr 250. Inf.Div (span.)

German Cross in Gold (2)
Esteban Infantes, Emilio, 09.04.1943, Generalmajor, Kdr. 250. Span.Div.
Knüppel, Wilhelm, 15.12.1943, Oberst i.G., Ltr. d. Dt.Verb.Stb. d. 250.(Sp.) Frw.Div.

addition by Jordi
After the 250.Infanterie-Division was oficially disbanded, it was created the "Legion de Voluntarios Españoles" on 28-11-1943 under the command of the Oberst Antonio García Navarro.
Antonio García Navarro was awarded the German Cross in Gold on 23-3-1944
1) Are the names written correctly ? How are they commonly written in Spanish ?
2) It is to notice that Knüppel was awarded on 15.12.1943, means after the dissolution of the division ; he was with the volunteer unit already, unit designation -> 250.(Sp.) Frw.Div. ; I'm a bit unsure, but very likely award for the time before with the 250. Inf.Div (span.)

the aspect of the unit designation, point 2) is leading me to other questions. If you go to the AHFactbook via the link above you find :
In Oct 1943 Spain changed its status in the war from nonbelligerence to neutrality, disbanding the Blue Divison (which received its name from the blue shirts worn by the FET). Some volunteers, amounting to three battalions, were allowed to remain on the Eastern front as the Légion Azul (Blue Legion) which was finally disbanded 15 Mar 1944.
3) Is it correct ? -> "Légion Azul (Blue Legion) ; that's what you called "Legion de Voluntarios Españoles" (?)
4) Kdr : Oberst Antonio García Navarro , 28.11.1943 - ??

and we can fill this gap perhaps :
Commanders
Generalmajor Agustín Muñoz Grandes (? July 1941 - ? Dec 1942)
Generalleutnant Emilio Esteban Infantes (? Dec 1942 - ? Oct 1943)
5) precise dates available ?

Thanks, Bernd

Here is his entry from the 2006 edition of Dörr:

Konopka, Gerhard, 25.06.1943, Major d.R., Rgt.Kdr. Gren.Rgt. “F.L. Jahn”

Weird! I don't think this unit can be correct. Here is the note:

Karteikarte BA fehlt. Erste nachweisbare Verleihung der NKiG. Wehrpass mit Eintrag liegt vor. Mitteilung Archiv Florian Berger, Wien, vom Februar 2004. Siehe auch Dokumententeil (Urkunden).
Weird and easy at the same time ? On the one hand understandable what's happened, on the other hand it's irritating :?
Said straight and with courage : everyone is free to list him like he want without a proof against the listing, I guess.
Why I don't support the entry of Dörr :
1) Konopka wasn't Major d.R. and with the F.L.Jahn Rgt on 25.06.1943 -> at least irritating
2) if you read through the above link he was wearing the Clasp when holding the "Panzerbekämpfung" courses -> evident he was handed out the Clasp

obviously the problem is regarding the document (Wehrpass and Besitzzeugnis ?)

What I not understand and what is a contradiction in terms, see below :
Either he was awarded on 25.06.1943 and got the Clasp or it was detected in 2003 ? Stating both is unlogical.

Hello.
It has been really difficult to find the correct dates but I have done my best, if someone thinks that I am wrong with any date don't hesitate to correct them, please.
1)The correct names are:
Emilio Esteban-Infantes Martín
Agustín Muñoz Grandes
Keep in mind that is Spain is: Name, Father's first name, Mother's first name

3)It's not correct "Légion Azul (Blue Legion), and that's for sure.
The correct name is "Legion de Voluntarios Españoles"
Source: Batallón Román, by Fernando J. Carrera Buil and Augusto Ferrer-Dalmau Nieto, page 253

4)Generalleutnan Agustín Muñoz Grandes (28 June 1941 - 13 Dec 1942), he was Generalleutnat during all his command.
Generalleutnant Emilio Esteban-Infantes Martín (13 Dec 1942 - 17 Oct 1943), he began as Generalmajor and finished his command as Generalleutnant, in 17.10.1943 was oficially given the order to get back to Spain, the last soldiers got back in 13.12.1943
Oberst Antonio García Navarro , 28.11.1943- 3.3.1944, in 3.3.1944 was oficially disbanded the "Legion de Voluntarios Españoles".

Best regards.

Thanks, Jordi :D
Good to have the precise designation for the Legion ; I think in colloquial language it was called "Blaue Legion" [Blue Legion] also.
I have reviesed the listing on [page 21] and I have made a post in the add & corr forum.

Please, all, help me to finish the review of the following divisions :

263. Infanterie-Division [page 15]

Scheit, Wolf, 15.10.1944, Wachtmeister, 1./Div.Füs.Btl. (AA) 263
DKiG , EBS ; interestingly his first name was written in full and short version ; to take as it is then.
Schranz, Johann, 02.06.1944, Stabswachtmeister i.W., Stabsbattr./Art.Rgt. 263
DKiS ; rank ?
Deutschmann, Siegfried, 00.00.1945, Oberfeldwebel, Zugführer i. d. 4./Gren.Rgt. 483
Leidenberger, ?, 00.00.0000, Oberwachtmeister, Art.Rgt. 263
Lorenz, Alfred, 00.00.1945 [confirmed by a contemporary photo], Oberfeldwebel, Zugführer i. d. 7./Gren.Rgt. 485
NKiG ; any more precise dates known ? Deutschmann -> 1945 I took from Scherzer

342. Infanterie-Division [page 15]
Brauch, Alfons, 17.08.1944, Oberfeldwebel d.R., 3./Div.Füs.Abt. 342
Eppel, Johann, 15.06.1944, Oberfeldwebel, 3./Div.Füs.Abt. 342

Tannert, Wilhelm, 24.04.1944, Leutnant, 3./Div.Füs.Abt. 342
DKiG
Gilbert, Erwin, 17.09.1944, Leutnant, 1./Div.Füs.Btl. 342 [here it is Btl ! / Bernd]
EBS
it was Divisions-Füsilier-Bataillon 342 ; later got Kavallerie-Tradition -> (AA) 342 , maybe therefore called Abt. (?)

102. Infanterie-Division [page 15] : fine

Here are the award holders of the numbered and named armies. Of note, I did not include award holders from any army-level components other than the Sturm-Bataillone and Regimenter. I will research the other units (Armee-Nachrichten-Regiment, Armee-Nachschub-Truppen, Korück, etc.) at a later date.

Best regards,
Shawn

Here are the award holders of the panzer armies and groups and AOK Norwegen. Of note, I did not include award holders from any army-level components other than the Sturm-Bataillone and Regimenter. I will research the other units (Armee-Nachrichten-Regiment, Armee-Nachschub-Truppen, Korück, etc.) at a later date.

Best regards,
Shawn
