Does anybody have any information about Oberleutnant Willi Witt from Heeres-Pionier-Bataillon 50? He was with Pz.Pi.Btl.50 from 1940 until late 1942 and was awarded the German Cross in Gold on 1. April 1944. Any information about his career would be extremely helpful.

I am also trying to ascertain if he survived the war. If so, is he still alive today.
