On Gustav Altmann,Oberleutnant Führer Sturmgruppe Stahl they actualy had time to take him off the island during the fighting in there ships?,do you know how many FJ had this happen to them.Maybe they wanted intel from them especialy, and he is not related too Helmut Arpke, Feldwebel Sturmgruppe Stahl is he?.

And what order is this in,or its just as the info and pictures come in?,and it will be sorted out in alphabetical order later maybe. Also is there a picture for Olt Schmidt here as he won a knights cross,as saw one,not the best on a site today.

Dr. Rolf Jäger,
to my knowledge Chefarzt Lazarett Verdun in 1944,
Carl-Heinrich von Stülpnagel was there after his suicide-attempt in connection to the 20th-July-plot

Gustav Altmann was Arpke's commander at Crete.Altmann was the Chef of 2 Komp/Sturm-Regt there.Getting captured on Crete appears common among some of these RKTs;actually remaining in captivity for the duration rather rare.

Experienced captivity at Crete:

Erich Lepkowski, captured but freed soon after by his company commander Roon
Bruno Sassen, wounded and captured near Chania but freed a week later
Alfred Sturm, captured on second day near Retimo but freed later

The Australians claimed around 400 Germans captured at Retimo, later 'liberated" by their comrades
when the campaign ceased.

Overall in the campaign seventeen officers were the only German prisoners evacuated to Egypt.
