Alecci,

with the kind help of a friend of mine I could offer you one:

Linstow von Hans Ottfried (16.03.1899-30.08.1944): 01.02.1942

Unfortunately I can´t offer a RDA for Wessel Baron Freytag von Loringhoven (22.11.1899-26.07.1944). Therefore I heartily second your attempt to get info. :D

I think you already have the Obst.-RDA of Mertz but here is that of Obst. i. G. Alexis Freiherr von Roenne (which might be of interest to you too): 01.04.1943

Regards,
Stauffenberg II

From Rangliste des Deutschen Heeres 1944/1945
Finckh 1.9.42 (35)
von Loringhoven 1.1.43 (59)
Jaeger 1.1.43 (3)
von der Lancken 1.3.44 (1)
von Linstow 1.2.42 (2)
Meichssner 1.5.43 (2)
Schrader and Hand are also listed but there are more than one and no christian names are given.

As always I give you many thanks for your invaluable support, gentlemen!

Where can I buy a copy of this Rangliste des Deutschen Heeres?

Any other literature you gentlemen would recommend me to have in my pursuit to get a military biography of these and all other military conspirators? The conspirators with the rank of general is naturally much more easier, but as you work your way down the ranks it gets harder and harder... Well, I think you might know the story.

But for now that leaves us:

Graf von Hardenberg-Neuhardenberg (Karl-Hans) as ObtLt d.R.
von Hofacker (Caesar) as ObtLt d.R. (LW)
von der Lancken (Fritz) as ObtLt i.G.
Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg (Berthold) as KrvKpt d.R. (KM)
Graf von Üxküll-Gyllenband (Nikolaus) as Obt

And I'm still interested in the RDA of Hahn (Kurt) as Obt and Schrader (Werner) as ObtLt as well, even though it might prove difficult to find the correct ones.

Oberstleutnant Werner Schrader

#7

Post by valkyrie » 09 Feb 2005, 19:44

I have requested Werner Schrader's service record from Deutsche Dienststelle (WASt). It will likely take a while to come through (perhaps several months) but I will post the details when it comes.

Alecci:

I have now received Werner Schrader's record from Deutsche Dienststelle. Its very skimpy. The only promotion they show is to Hauptmann on 01.05.1934. They have nothing on record for him prior to 31.07.1944 (when he was already dead). I have seen original correspondance from him showing that he was a Major in Jan. 1943 and an Oberstleutnant as early as April 1944 - so his final promotion must fall within this range.

I can send you a scanned copy of the print-out if you would like. I also have Deutsche Dienststelle's excerpt from Henning v. Tresckow's records. If the moderator can confirm that there is no copyright issue, I could post both of them here.
