You sure you have the right guy, the first photo shows a Fliegererinnerungsabzeichen, so he was clearly a long-serving aviator in WW1.

Valdis showed us exactly what Pavel asked for. General with white lapel and the Kriegssiegerkreuz on the extreme right, not the Oberst in the middle, was Pavel's question. 8O

Hello Gentlemen,

Two questions about the pict:

1) In the bottom of the photo between the possible diplomat and the Oberst of Luftwaffe is there an officer been similar to SS-Oberst-Gruppenführer Franz Xaver Schwarz, it would be him?

2) What kind of decoration Hirschhauer and the Oberst are wearing ?? Looks like a Slovak award...

Cheers

Sorry, I thought he had circled the officer in the middle.

Talking of General der Flakartillerie Friedrich Hirschhauer, does anyone know who at the end of January 1945 succeeded him as President of the Reichsluftschutzbund?

Best

We are lucky to have Hirschauer's Geburtsurkunde in his PA, which is very seldom the case. So the spelling with one H is definitely confirmed.
