Best regards/ Daniel

Hallo forum,

an exciting bio of this respectable officer is:
Friedrich- Karl von Plehwe:
"Reiter, Streiter und Rebell. Das ungewöhnliche Leben des Generals E.-G. Baade".
Schäuble Verlag 1980.

Baade was "mit Wirkung vom 18.04.1945 zum Stab OB Nordwest kommandiert".
He drived to Stadtkommandant Hamburg demanding to inform the higher commands, that he intended to go to the "Tropeninstitut" ((institute for tropic diseases) there for medical examinations.
He was attacked by british fighters on 24.04.1945 restless driving near Neverstaven. He died on sepsis (since 03.05.45) in the Lazarett Bad Segeberg.
His grave is in the parc of Neverstaven.

Hi Klemen
I was said Tolsdorff (also a Gen.Lt. and a Diamonds winner) was also awarded the Tank Destruction Badge as well as Gen. d. Art. Horst von Mellenthin. These 3 generals would be the most senio officer to be warded the TDB.
Maybe Daniel will add another name
Regards
Denis
