There is a book on market from Franz Kurowski (in german)

Out of the 160 pages of this book not even ten contain info on Kurt Knispel! 8O

Indeed it is . Most succesfull Panzer Commander ?!! He 'only' had 42 kills as a commander ! The other kills were from the time as a gunner.

Thanks, I have those photos from the unit history of the Schwere Panzerabteilung 503 and Panzer Aces 2. Would be good to get a translated version of that Kurt Knispel book tho! Thanks for the info.

Hi ,according to Franz Kurowski in Panzer Aces 2 their was a incident where Knipsel beat up a Regional soldier who was assaulting a prisoner in striped overalls.The mans co sent military police looking for him on his units train but Knipsel s C.O gave orders that anyone other than his own troops attempting to enter the train would be shot.Perhaps this was the reason why he never got the R.K.
