UNKNOWN GENERAL CARINTHIA

Post by harmel » 25 Feb 2005 15:51

Hi Phil, According to Mark it is Gen of Mtn Troops Franz Bohme, but Bohme wore glasses and had the decoration also of the Iron Cross 2nd Class WW1 and WW2 which I am sure he would have worn as in the RK-Trager of the Infanterie by Biblio-Verlag he is wearing them,he was also awarded 3 Foreign likewise I am sure he would have worn. I stand corrected if I am wrong. Cheers Harmel.

I also have this photo, but unfortunately (and surprisingly) the general is not mentioned in the caption handwritten on the reverse.
