Post by David C. Clarke » 29 May 2005, 07:17

Can anyone give me any information regarding Generalleutnant Clemens Betzel? I understand that pre-war, he was a member of the S.A.? What was his background? Did he serve in WWI? Any information would be highly appreciated.

Best,
David

Fortuitously I found a pic of
Kurt Kühme
as Oberstleutnant and Kommandeur Inf.Rgt. 306 in Paris, inspecting III. / IR 306 (serving as Wachbataillon) together with Gen.Lt. Kurt Renner, Kdr. 211. Inf.Div.

Kühme was Kdr. IR 306 30.07.1940 - 16.10.1941

Paul Hausser was a reserve SA-Standartenfuehrer prior to his SS career. No pictures of him in SA-uniform so far...
