Well , in 1944 he was Kdr. of AusuErsbrigade "FHH" in Danzig , maybe he succeeded Oberst Froemert . And according to Bruns' History of the PzBrigade 106 he was Kdr. of this unit between 3.2.1945 and 29.3.1945 .

Thats what I have so far ...

As a Major (Res.) he was serving as CO of K10 in the 10th Panzer Division. He had led the K10 at El Guetter, and gun in hand at the head of the K10 he had fought off three American battalions, for which he was awarded the Knight's Cross. He was a personal friend of Graf Stauffenberg and visited the latter while he was hospitalized in Munich for treatment of the wounds he received in Tunisia. Apparently Drewes himself was also wounded in Tunisia, but I don't know when or how or the extent of his injuries.

Is there any family ties between Heinrich, Wilhelm or Martin Drewes?
