Ernst Frömming (1911-1959)

Frömming had something of a charmed life.While flying into Crete in 1941 his chute opened in the plane.Frömming refused an order to return to Greece and fly in later.Frömming jumped,and survived,with his chute already opened.

Thanks for all the pictures and info on the FJ Peter,i have seen a few but many i have not,and the link for this website maybe i have not seen aswell?.And its fine to make copies of these pictures right?.

From Kurowski's Knight's Cross Holders of the Fallschirmjager.

Major Heinz Paul Adolff,hero of the Primasole Bridge battle
...Adolff tried to blow up the bridge.He drove a truck loaded with two aerial bombs onto the bridge in order to detonate them there.Two attempts failed.On July 17 Adolff tried a third time.He was severely wounded in the process and died soon afterward.
